Our Story
Arteva was founded in December 2023 and opened its doors in January 2024 with one clear mission: to guide and empower every aspiring artist, whether a curious child or an adult rediscovering creativity, at the very start of their artistic journey.
At the heart of Arteva is Mohamed Fairooz (Faitte), a self-taught artist who began his journey in 2022. Like many beginners, he faced uncertainty, mistakes, and setbacks. But instead of giving up, he embraced the process, learned through experience, and uncovered not only a deep love for art but also a powerful passion for teaching and mentoring others.
Arteva was born from this experience a desire to be the supportive voice Faitte once needed. It’s a space where encouragement is constant, learning feels personal, and creativity is celebrated at every stage. We understand how overwhelming it can feel to start something new, especially without guidance. That’s why we’re here to remind you, “You can do this.”
We believe in building strong foundations in art while also allowing freedom to explore and grow. Our small class sizes, limited to a maximum of six students per session, ensure that every learner gets individual attention in a safe, friendly, and supportive environment.
At Arteva, art is more than technique. It’s about finding your voice, embracing mistakes, gaining confidence, and discovering the joy of creating something uniquely yours.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue nurturing our growing community of artists in the Maldives. Our vision includes hosting group and solo exhibitions to celebrate the progress, passion, and personal growth of our students.
This is just the beginning. Arteva isn’t just a studio, it’s a movement, built from lived experience, driven by purpose, and committed to helping anyone with the dream of becoming an artist find their path.
